A long distance love letter.

It's Ollie's birthday and our 4th anniversary. And we are 4,588.3 miles apart. I can't afford to send him his presents, never mind be there with him on this special day so I'm doing the only thing I know - dedicate a blog to him.
WARNING - if soppy, declarations of love make you want to vomit, stop reading now.
Ollie and I have been inseparable from the day we met. Neither of us asked each other out, we just became 'Ollie and Meg'. It was the most natural thing for the both of us. I mean if you meet someone who shares your love for breaking bad, nachos and wearing no underwear, you know they're a keeper.
Looking back on our first year together I honestly believe Ollie is the reason I stayed at uni and persevered with my degree. I really struggled in first year. Uni wasn't what I thought it would be and I contemplated packing it all in numerous times. However, Ollie was always there for me to rant to and ugly cry at. I realised this if I left Edge Hill I wouldn't just be throwing away the chance to succeed but also throwing away a marvellous relationship. So Ollie, firstly, thank you for always pushing me to keep going and be the best that I can be.

Secondly, thank you for making me laugh more than anyone else I know (even more than my sister, which is a challenge). You truly are hilarious, and know exactly when I need cheering up with a dad joke. Whether it's strutting around the room in my tights or sending me hilarious snapchats, you constantly keep a smile on my face. I can't wait for the many laughter filled years ahead of us.

Next, thank you for introducing me to new things. When I first met you I was quite stubborn in my ways, especially when it came to music. I knew what I liked and knew what I definitely didn't like. But you managed to change that. I never in a million years thought I would be going to rap gigs and enjoying them but you made it happen. You've also introduced me to so much food and drink, something I'm grateful for, but perhaps my waistline isn't! Oh, and no matter how much you try, I don't think football will ever be my thing...soz.

Thank you for being brave and ballsy by moving thousands of miles away. Your independence and ambition is helping us build our brilliant future together. I am missing you so much, and can't wait to be with you again, however I know the wait is worth it. These few months apart is giving you time to settle and sort everything out, ready for when we start our married life together. You really are a super star.

And lastly, thanks for wanting to wife me. I know it's slightly earlier than we originally planned, but now that it's happening I know it's right. I can't wait to see you waiting for me at the end of the aisle. It's going to the be the bestest day, surrounded by all the people we love, all the friends we have made together.
So, to finish off. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, to my best friend, husband to be, all-round best person ever, Ollie Prescott.
Ollie, I love you to the moon and back, see you real soon.
