It's my birthday week! I've had a lovely chilled week, celebrating with my wonderful family and friends. Here's my weekly collection of things I have enjoyed over the past week! Don't forget to recommend things to me on twitter @megbennettxo
Clothes - Lucy and Yak Overalls

I came across Lucy and Yak on a Facebook add and loved every single item on their store. I got this beautiful pair of overalls for my birthday AND I'M OBSESSED. They are made out of really soft corduroy, and are one size fits all, making them incredibly comfy. The straps are adjustable giving you lots of freedom and choice on how to wear them. My super cute overalls have little ducks all over them, matching my crazy style but they also have a range of dungarees in block colours. I can't wait to add more items to my Lucy and Yak collection. Check out their online shop here! (https://lucyandyak.com/)
Album - Declan McKenna - What Do You Think About The Car
I first heard the name Declan McKenna when he won the Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition in 2015. If I'm honest, I wasn't too bothered by his single Brazil at first, so didn't bother listening to him too much. HOWEVER. After seeing a lot of hype around his debut album 'What Do You Think About The Car', I decided to give him another try, and I'm glad I did. The album is packed full of thought-provoking lyrics, mainly based around McKenna's personal thoughts and political views, and it's surprising to hear that he is only 18 years old. The lyrics are paired with tunes that make you want to get up and boogie, and are certain to be stuck in your head for days.
Calligraphy
Typography and calligraphy is everywhere on social media at the moment, especially Instagram. There are hundreds of Instagram accounts dedicated to dreamy videos of some of the most beautiful handwriting. I have recently found myself scrolling through accounts such as Lucky13Letters and wishjoyletters for hours, highly envious of their talents. I have decided to give it a go myself, and next week am aiming to create my own wedding invitations (stay posted for updates on that!) I also have a very talented friend who regularly puts his calligraphy skills to use, making beautiful presents and cards. Check out what he made me for my leaving present below!
