My posts so far have been pretty sporadic and random. So in an attempt to make them more regular and organised I am going to start posting every Saturday a blog titled 'Things I'm loving this week'. In the blog I will talk about anything that has caught my attention in the past week, from books, to funny cat videos. I'm always up for discovering new things, so if you think there is anything I should check out, feel free to tweet me @megbennettxo

Album - Future Friends PT 1 - Superfruit

I've known about Superfruit (consisting of Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying) for a few years now, mainly through their other band Pentatonix. After watching a React video of their new music videos I decided to give their new LP a go. I was hooked instantly. Their sound is incredibly summery and feel-good, with catchy lyrics and some insane vocals (thanks to Mitch's incredible vocal range.) I've had Future Friends PT 1 playing on repeat all week, and it's guaranteed to get your foot tapping. MY favourite track is Sexy Ladies (Check out the music video above!!)

Film - Dunkirk

Ollie and I went to see Dunkirk at the IMAX last week, and from the first opening scene, we were blown away. Christopher Nolan along with Hans Zimmer, perfectly captured the intensity and panic of the tragic yet heroic events at the beaches of Dunkirk. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole of the film, which is unusual for me as I normally shut off during films with lots of action scenes. The film starred many up and coming young actors, including one of our close friends, so it was wonderful to see some new talent acting alongside some big names. Tom Hardy is also in the film, so even if it was a disaster, I still would have enjoyed it (ladies, you get me???)

Food - Blue Dragon Massaman Curry

I've always been a bit scared of spicy food, so when Ollie said he had made a curry for us I was apprehensive. However, he proved me wrong! Ollie cooked a Thai Massaman Curry using a Blue Dragon kit, but swapped out the Beef for Potato due to me being a veggie. The kit comes with fresh ingredients, and cooking time is only half an hour, so it's perfect for a healthy tea after work. The curry wasn't spicy, but was packed with flavour and warmth, and was incredibly moreish. We always try and save left-overs for the next day, however I had to go back and get myself a second bowl. We've had it a few times already this month, and as it's relatively cheap (£2.69 from Tesco), it's sure to become a regular on our shopping list. Link to shop down below!
